((OOC: Made this edit, cuz Gepetto and Hiriam Flaversham would SO be bffs. Both are kindly old gentlemen who work with wood for a living (avid toymakers, too!), are single fathers, wear glasses, have mustaches, and are separated from their children for pretty much the entire film until they are reunited at the end. Old drawing is old XD I find lots of similarities between Flapjack and Pinocchio. They are around the same age (about 7-9) based back in time(1800’s), raised by a single parent, have a great thirst for adventure, and their story have a whale in it. Probably Pinocchio would have cetaphobia after that whole thing with Monstro and would be scared of Bubbie.
So SO cute~ <3 Also, him being afraid of Bubbie sounds like interesting fic material - maybe she could eventually cure his fear of her with her sweet motherly ways~
“I hate that Disney uses Jiminy Cricket for a lot of stuff in WDW, but they don’t sell much merchandise with any Pinocchio characters. I wish such a beautiful film would get more recognition”.
This was one of the things I noticed when I visited Disney World a little while ago. I found more stuff that had Jiminy and even Figaro - but barely anything of the main puppet boy himself (and forget about Foulfellow, Gideon, or any others). D: Pinocchio’s one of my top favorite Disney movies, so this was disappointing. (At least Pinocchio’s Village Haus is still there - such a cute place to eat!)
